Philosophy

Since it was founded in 2008, CYCLADIC DIVING has been concerned about the marine environment and it works actively and strategically in environmental awareness  and protection. We organise marine clean-ups every year in collaboration with local authorities and international environmental associations. The philosophy of Cycladic Diving is an emotional approach to scuba diving and nature. We believe in the relaxing and mindful power of scuba diving and pay attention to the individual needs of all our customers, adults and kids.
We have a strong focus on techniques and safety, but we are not competitive.
We won’t rush things. Our aim is to give the training and diving experience the time that it needs.

The Centre

Open usually from the beginning of April until November. The dive centre is based in Alyki village in a very convenient position in front of the sea. There are 90 square meters of indoor space with a teaching area, shop and bathrooms, as well as a large outdoor space including an area to relax and an equipment cleaning station. The beach for the Confined Water training is only a few metres from the dive centre. For boat dives it’s a short walk from the dive centre to our mooring in the marina of Alyki. The staff is composed of SSI and PADI professionals from France and Italy with many years experience. We also are proud to offer diving certifications or Discover Scuba-diving for disabled thanks to HSA professionals (Handicapped Scuba Association)

All are highly skilled in scuba diving pedagogy, safety and marine biology. We can conduct scuba training in English, French, Italian and Greek.

E-learning is our favorite method of learning theory allowing students to progress at their own pace while reviewing more complex situations with the instructor.

The dive centre does not use any plastic bottles. We try to avoid single use plastic as much as possible and choose eco friendly products for cleaning. During the dives the Cycladic divers are invited to collect debris and at the dive centre there is a special bin for that.

Boat:

  • We own our own RIB boat, 7 mt with Mercury FourStroke outboard engine 150hp

  • The boat has a comfortable boarding ladder

  • We take 6 divers max with 2 dive guides and 1 boat man

  • Oxygen and First Aid Emergency equipment are always on board
